Rancho Mission Viejo
Located in the heart of south Orange County, the award-winning community of Rancho Mission Viejo, or The Ranch, is comprised of approximately 17,000 acres of permanent open space to be preserved as The Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo as well as approximately 6,000 acres to be developed over time into multiple mixed-use and inter-generational residential villages.
Over the next two decades, The Ranch is expected to offer up to 14,000 homes (including up to 6,000 primarily single-story homes for people age 55-plus) and nearly 5 million square feet of non-residential uses. In addition, sites for schools, parks and recreational facilities, community farms, shopping and employment centers will be provided as well as an inter-connected system of arterial roadways and hiking/biking pathways carefully integrated regional trails networks and even some of The Ranch’s agrarian spaces and natural habitat.
